I have been employed as a professional writer and journalist for nearly 25 years. Every single day, I face the struggles I have written about here: the desire to educate the public, expose disinformation while presenting my work even-handedly, free of bias and opinion. I have worked in local television news in my home state of New Jersey and on major nationwide broadcasts on MSNBC and NBC. The institutional knowledge that I have gained about the process of writing and producing has allowed me the opportunity to act as mentor and teacher to dozens of new writers and producers, many of them going on to highly successful careers all over the world. With my M.A. in English Writing Studies, I am pursuing more formal teaching opportunities covering journalism, writing and new media studies.
